Independent testing conducted by Dr. Rudrapatna V. Ramnath, at the
Massachusetts institute of Technology confirms that the
proprietary ProKennex Kinetic System Technology offers
unparalleled performance including 43% vibration
reduction, 20% shock reduction and 15% larger power
zone.
After several years of study and
analysis, ProKennex has improved the performance of its
patented Kinetic system.
“The Kinetic System is a unique
approach in racquet design and a significant jump in
technology because it reduces shock and vibration at the
source,” says Dr. Rudrapatna Ramnath, a professor of
aeronautics and astronautics at Massachusetts Institute
of Technology (MIT) and director of its Sports Dynamics
and Technology Lab. Dr. Ramnath tested the Kinetic and
found that it reduced shock travelling up the arm by 20%
and decreased vibration by 43%. It also enlarged the
power zone by 12 to 15%, and elevated it about three
quarters of an inch.
“By enlarging the power zone, the
Kinetic system makes the racquet more forgiving, which is
very useful to the average recreational player,” says
Dr. Ramnath, who has been a technical advisor to the ATP
tour. “At the same time, the moving kinetic bearings
raise the power zone without permanently increasing the
moment of inertia.”
This is beneficial to skilled players who can generate
great power through faster swings and the larger, raised
power zone.
Kinetic racquets are designed to provide the benefits of
unsurpassed comfort & shock dampening and are the only
racquets to provide a secondary energy source.
Of all the benefits of the kinetic system, clearly the
greatest gift to tennis is its unique and proven ability
to eliminate shock. Since “initial” shock is commonly
believed to be the cause of Lateral Epicondylitis
(commonly known as tennis elbow) - racquets with the
Kinetic System have become the weapon of choice for any
player suffering from this malady. |
